Job Opening: Experienced Automotive Technician

Performance Automotive Inc is a successful, established, fast paced shop in Lamar, CO that is seeking to fill a rare spot for an experienced and highly skilled A-level technician. This candidate will play a pivotal role in diagnosing all makes and models and must have extensive knowledge, experience, and efficiency with repairs. They must instill trust with the customers and uphold the shop's reputation for excellence. The right candidate must be a team player, leader, and mentor. This shop holds strong values of providing excellent service and taking care of their customers.

What they are looking for:

Diesel Technician Job Description

Opportunity and Position Information: Performance Automotive INC is a state-of-the-art, modern service facility specializing in both light- and heavy-duty diesel vehicles. We are growing rapidly and seeking experienced, dependable, and self-motivated Diesel Technician. This position is available immediately for the right candidate.

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of diesel engines and vehicles, including medium- and heavy-duty trucks, light-duty diesels, and diesel-powered equipment.
• Perform tasks such as engine diagnostics, fuel system repairs, emissions system servicing, and diesel particulate filter (DPF) cleaning/replacement.
• Conduct preventive maintenance, including oil changes, filter replacements, cooling system servicing, and drivetrain inspections.
• Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining the highest quality standards.
• Document inspections, diagnostics, and repairs thoroughly in work orders.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in diesel engine repair and maintenance (required).
• Advanced mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, fuel systems, emissions, and electronic controls (preferred 5+ years).
• Ability to diagnose and repair multiple makes and models of diesel vehicles.
• Possess own set of professional-grade tools.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• ASE Diesel Certification or equivalent manufacturer certifications preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Team-oriented mindset with a focus on providing excellent customer service.
• Ability to reliably commute to or relocate to Lamar, CO 81052 with employer- provided relocation assistance.

Work Schedule:

• Full-time position.
• Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM.
• No weekends.

Compensation:

• Hourly pay: $40.00 – $50.00 per hour, depending on experience and certifications.
• Weekly payroll.
• Performance bonuses.

• Vacation pay: 1 week after 90 days, 2 weeks after 3 years, 3 weeks after 5 years.
